I’ve been traveling with my family since 2012, with the majority of that travel in Europe. We’ve also explored a few countries outside of Europe so browse the list below to find exactly what you are looking for or search for inspiration!
AUSTRIA
Austria is a wonderful country for families that we love to visit. It has amazing cities and stunning mountains. This is a great destination to combine city exploring with time in nature.
AZERBAIJAN
Azerbaijan is an off-the-beaten path destination for most travelers. We visited while we lived in Georgia and had a great time exploring the capital city Baku.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS
Visiting Christmas Markets is one of my absolute favorite things to do in Europe. Over the years I have been lucky to visit many in Germany and beyond. Read through these posts to help you plan your best Christmas Market trip!
CROATIA
Croatia is one of the best places in Europe to spend a summer vacation. The water is amazing, the food and wine are delightful, and there is so much to see & do.
CZECHIA
Most travelers know about Prague but let me show you why you shouldn’t miss this smaller town that is packed with charm!
DENMARK
Denmark was really a dream! I underestimated how much I would enjoy it. Even just a few days in Copenhagen and Odense was enough to make me fall in love.
FRANCE
Paris is a must, but so is getting outside of Paris. The Christmas Markets in Alsace are truly some of the best and should not be missed!
GEORGIA
Our family had the pleasure of living in Tbilisi, Georgia for two years. Georgia is an amazing country with so much to explore. It really has a little bit of everything, plus amazing food & wine!
GERMANY
Germany is a place that will always feel like home for us. We lived there for a combined total of six years. Our true happy place is Garmisch in the Bavarian Alps. These are a few posts to help you plan an amazing trip to Germany.
GREECE
Greece has so many amazing spots to visit. It can be overwhelming to try and pick a spot to go. Here are some recommendations for where our family has enjoyed.
HUNGARY
Hungary boasts one of the most beautiful European capital cities, Budapest. Read this to find the picture perfect spots you won’t want to miss.
ITALY
Italy is a great destination for families wanting to explore Europe. Rome is amazing but there are plenty more spots that families shouldn’t miss!
MALDIVES
This is hands down the BEST vacation we have ever taken as a family. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can’t take kids to the Maldives, we found it to be super family-friendly!
MONTENEGRO
Montenegro is more under the radar but it’s guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser if you go. The coast is stunning and there are so many mountains and national parks to explore also.
THE NETHERLANDS

OMAN
Our family absolutely loved our trip to Oman and would not hesitate to go back for another trip! If you want to venture into Middle East travel, this is a great place to start!
SLOVENIA
Slovenia is more than Ljubljana and Lake Bled! Don’t miss the mountain regions also!
SPAIN

SWITZERLAND
Switzerland is worth all the hype you hear about it. If I can give you one piece of advice it is to spend more time in the mountains and lakes than in the cities. You won’t regret it!
TÜRKIYE
We called Türkiye home for two years and feel grateful for the chance to explore this amazing country. Cappadocia and Istanbul are my favorites!
UNITED KINGDOM
There is a million and one guides out there to London but my trip was a little different because it was just my daughter and I for her birthday. I let her take the lead in picking our activities. If you are traveling with older kids and preteens, this is a roundup of what to do!
UKRAINE
We lived in Kyiv for a year, this post was written before the full-scale invasion and includes some of our favorite things in the city. I hope travel is able to return to Ukraine as soon as possible.
