Where is Europa Park?
Europa Park is located in Rust, Germany—a small town you’ve probably never heard of near the Black Forest region. It lies within the southwestern part of the country very close to the French border and also not too far from Switzerland. Because of its location you can combine your trip to Europa Park with many other destinations in these countries. If you’re wondering where to stay at Europa Park, I have some specific suggestions further down.
Getting to Europa Park
Your closest airports to fly into are:
Baden Baden/Karlsruhe
Stuttgart
Strasbourg
Geneva
Frankfurt
I often recommend getting a rental car, and depending on where you stay in the area and what your other plans are for the trip, I think it’s a good idea for this trip. Look at the prices for a transfer from the airport you will fly into versus the price of renting a car. Parking at Europa Park costs 10 euros daily. A car is also a nice option if you are combining a park visit with another city or country.

Staying On-Site at a Europa Park Resort
As I mentioned above, there are some benefits to staying at one of the on-site Europa Park Hotels. These are the specific hotels I’m referring to:
Kronasar (at Rulantica)
Bell-Rock (Europa-Park)
Colosseo (Europa-Park)
Santa-Isabel (Europa-Park)
El Andaluz (Europa-Park)
Castillo Alcazar (Europa Park)
The other accommodations are Riverside Western Lodge, Tipi Town, Caravan Park, and Camping Park and don’t have all the same benefits so make sure to look those up specifically.
When you stay at a resort hotel you will enjoy:
Early entry into Rulantica waterpark. You can access the park at 9 AM while everyone else can not come in until 10 AM
Guaranteed tickets to Europa Park during your stay. No worry about the park selling out tickets.
In the summer season you can access Europa Park 30 minutes earlier than the general public*
In the winter season you can access Europa Park 60 minutes before the general public*
Access to five sauna areas and pools
Access to the “Boston Red Sox” fitness center which is 350 square meters and offers fitness classes
Included free parking
Free shuttle service between all Europa Park hotels and parks
Exclusive access to the Spanish themed area of the park after the park has closed (rides are closed)
Reduced ticket prices for special events
Free wi-fi
*Note some attractions will be open for you, but not the bigger roller coasters. Those don’t open until the park officially opens.
Pets are allowed at each of the six resort hotels for a fee of 13 euros per night.
You can expect each of these hotels to have great theming that keeps the fun and magic alive even when you return to your hotel in the evening. They each have restaurants on-site and as a guest you can access any of the pools and saunas at the hotels, even if you’re staying at a different one.
These are the hotels you want to stay at when budget isn’t a concern and you really want that magical fun feeling for the entirety of your stay.

Where to Stay Near Europa Park
Rest assured there are many other Europa Park accommodations besides the on-site hotels if those happen to be booked for your visit or you’re looking for something more budget-friendly. There are many small villages in the area that are only a short drive away with plenty of guest-houses, hotels, and apartments for rent.
Personally, I would not want to stay more than a 20 minute drive away because I am a rope-drop person. I like to get there before the park opens to maximize our day. So for that reason, I like to stay fairly close by. Here are some great properties in Rust, Germany that I’ve already vetted for you.
Avalon
This hotel is modern, clean, and updated and has a seasonal outdoor pool. The rooms are great for families with either bunkbeds or an apartment style room with a loft and small kitchen area. Breakfast is included which will save you time and money when you’re trying to get the most out of your park days. It’s a short distance from both Europa Park and Rulantic, making your drive there super quick.
Villa Scandic
This property is in a quiet residential area and features large multi-bedroom apartments with full living spaces and kitchens. There are bunkbeds and baby cribs for children as well as outdoor space for playing. The property is a 14 minute walk from Europa Park. Breakfast can be added on for a fee or you can utilize your kitchen to get groceries and make your own. These apartments offer comfort and space and would be great for a longer stay where you also take some day trips into France. Some of the reviews mention there are great playgrounds very close to the property.
Hotel am Park
You will not get much closer to Europa Park than this. This hotel is literally across the street so no worries about driving or parking each day. Breakfast and parking are included with your stay and 24 hour check-in is available. In terms of convenience, this hotel is at the top of the list. It also has family rooms with bunk beds and sleeper sofas which are great for bigger families. The rooms are clean and modern and there is also a small market on-site to get snacks and pizza.
Hotel Andante Rust
This hotel is very nice and modern with chic rooms and balconies. The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool, another highlight for families visiting in the summer. Family rooms with bunk beds and sleeper sofas are available. There is an on-site restaurant that serves dinner so you don’t have to worry about finding somewhere to go after the park closes. There is a park shuttle available for hotel guests as well if you do not want to worry about parking.
Hotel Lowen Garni
This 3 star family-owned hotel is great for families with different sized room options at affordable prices. It is only a 5 minute walk to Europa Park from this hotel. A nice breakfast buffet is included each morning of your stay. Several reviews mention the rooms are spacious and clean.
